There are over 20 miles of hiking trails in the park… make sure your to-do list includes the Springs Trail. First stop on this wide gravel path: Antelope Springs! This trail is 1 mile round trip. According to the Chickasaw National Recreation Area, this natural spring flows at around 1.5 million gallons a day.

Garfield Falls is the perfect spot to cool off! It’s a laid-back swimming spot in Chickasaw National Recreation Area, just off Perimeter Road. The spring-fed water is refreshingly cool (ok- cold) year-round. It’s easy to access and perfect for a quick dip or a relaxed afternoon by the creek. Don’t forget your towel!

We pulled into Little Niagara just in time to catch a few deer by the sign—one of those moments that feels rare, but around here, it’s just part of the day.
The sound of rushing water and the shaded trails lead you straight to one of the best swimming spots in the park.
If you’re headed to Sulphur, this stop should be at the top of your list.
